We don’t have a confirmed release date for the Fit Pro 2 wireless headphones, but we can make an estimated guess by looking at other Beats models over the years here.
We know that Beats headphones are upgraded on average once every 2-3 years, like the Beats Solo 4.

The Beats Fit Pro series was announced in November 2021 and became available for purchase in January 2022. Based on the above, we can expect the Beats Fit Pro 2 release date to be in early 2024. This will most likely happen sometime later after the presentation of Apple products.

My expectations for Beats Fit Pro 2
I’ve been considering what Apple might bring to the table with the new Beats Fit Pro 2 headphones. Here are my predictions:
Design Highlights:
- Combination of best features from Powerbeats Pro and Studio Buds.
- Prioritizes noise canceling and workout-friendly design.
- Replaced ear hooks with compact ear wings for portability.
- Likely Additions:
4.1. Extra-small ear tips for better fit.
4.2. Retained clamshell charging case with USB-C.
4.3. Vibrant color options; no translucent variant expected.
Specs & Features Insights:
- ANC: Expected to outperform predecessors; potential rival to industry leaders like Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 and Sony WF-1000XM5.
- Sound Profile: Reduced bass for broader music appeal and prolonged comfortable use.
- Chips:

- A multiband EQ in the Beats Android app would be ideal, though unlikely.
- Custom EQ can enhance listening experiences across genres and media.
2. Adaptive Transparency Mode:
- The Fit Pro uses Apple’s Transparency mode, allowing music playback with environmental sound.
- The Adaptive version better reduces sudden, loud noises for an improved listening experience.
3. Enhanced Sound Quality:
- Although workout earbuds often have a bass-heavy sound, a balance between sub-bass and mid-range frequencies would provide a more versatile listening experience.
4. Upgraded Microphone Quality:
- Given improvements seen in other Beats products, the Fit Pro 2 should better block background noise for clearer calls.
