Sonos followers can’t wait to get to know the Sonos Beam Gen 3 release date and the upgrades which the company shows to the brand new soundbar. Fans haven’t been able to observe Beam upgrades since 2021.

What’s the Release Date of Sonos Beam Gen 3?
So, let’s discuss the possibility of the launch date of the new Sonos Beam Soundbar 3 version anytime soon.
The company didn’t officially announce the release date of the new products. Since there was a launch of the Sonos Sub Mini and Sonos Ray in 2022, we can try to predict when a new model comes out based on the release dates of the previous ones.
Soundbars Beam:
- Beam (Gen 1) – July, 2018
- Beam (Gen 2) – October, 2021
Subwoofers:
- Sub (Gen 2) – 2016
- Sub (Gen 3) – June 8, 2020
We see that new versions of soundbars come out with an interval of 3 years, and subwoofers – 4 years. This is quite a long period according to the technology development and upgrades.
The Sonos, unlike many other companies, never releases a new version of the product with a few changes, with no serious advantages, only to make users purchase an upgraded model. Sonos really meets the customer’s needs in each new generation of devices.
If the company sticks to its schedule, then we can expect the Sonos Beam Gen 3 release date to be summer or fall 2024.
Why Is There a Shortage of Sonos?
The company is now producing fewer products than it could sell, as there is a global shortage of semiconductors. It was first caused by the coronavirus pandemic, then it was affected by the disruption of transport chains due to the war in Ukraine and tensions with China.
But Sonos management has already taken a number of steps aimed at solving logistical problems. In particular, a number of products are now delivered by air. There is also a transition to more readily available components. The production facilities located in China have already been partially transferred to the territory of other states. Sonos said they will increase production in 2023 and launch two new products annually.

What’s the Price of Sonos Beam Gen 3?
So far, there is no data on the approximate cost of the new soundbar model. But we decided to roughly determine it based on the price of previous versions.
- Beam (Gen 1) – £399 / $399 / AU $599
- Beam (Gen 2) – $449 / £449 / AU $649
The Sonos needed to increase the price of its products in 2021. This was caused because many companies transfer their production from China and the problem with the supply chain appeared. At this time, we technically expect the new Sonos Beam Gen 2 to be priced higher this time around, presumably starting at $499 / £499 / AU $699.
